What does marketing mean to you?
I always knew that marketing was going to be integral in my future career, so I began to learn about integrated marketing with social media while still in school. Although my main focus of study was with public relations and social media, I always followed different marketing trends.

What is Kleidon & Associates’ greatest strength?
Kleidon & Associates’ greatest strength, in my opinion, is the small personal touchesthat each and every employee gives to their work. Large agencies and mega-corporations don’t offer the amount of individual attention that it takes to deliver the best product. What I have noticed is that every employee goes the extra mile for our clients. That is what makes Kleidon and Associates so unique and sets us above the rest.

What makes for the perfect marketing campaign?
The perfect marketing campaign starts with a story. It takes a simple topic or relatable subject and weaves it into something that strikes the viewer on an emotional or logical level. A perfect marketing campaign takes on the idea of what it means to be human. This includes experiences like the loss of a family member, the joy of finding love, or even the warmth of a true friendship.

For example, the Procter & Gamble ad “Thank You, Mom.” This ad tells a beautiful story that invokes emotions and gives the audience something to relate to.

What are your top social media platforms for personal use? Which do you recommend for businesses?
I personally use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Reddit. I would recommend that businesses use the platforms that relate to their target audience. Each business should look at what their goals and values are and find the platform that most closely relates.

What is your secret talent?
I am terrible at most impressions but can do a pretty good Kermit the Frog and Elmo.

What is a little-known fact about you?
My original dream job as a kid was to join the NBA.

Most people collect something. What do you collect?
I love to collect old movie tickets. I find it to be a way of honoring the memories made that night.

Three things you can’t live without?
1.Family
2.Good Food
3.Stories

What non-Kleidon marketing campaign over the past 1-2 years has made an impression on you?
The the “No More” campaign about domestic violence and sexual assault. This campaign comes during a time that both women and men are speaking up against sexual assault. The campaign centers around the idea that we can no longer use victim blaming excuses. This campaign was created to help give power to the powerless. I love what the organizers did to create this and am thankful for the men and women who have spoken up to end the excuses.

What famous tagline has stuck with you through the years?
As generic as it sounds, “Just do it” has been stuck in my head for years. Nike’s classic tagline is hands down the best slogan I have ever heard. Simple, clean, and actionable. I love it.

What’s the most overused word in advertisements?
“One Day Only!” If I hear another Macy’s ad about their “blowout event of the year”I might go crazy.
